About Us

High Wycombe and District u3a PhotoGroup is a group of enthusiastic amateurs, from beginners to expert, whose common interest is photography.

The activities of the Group embrace all types of still photography both colour and monochrome.

The Group was founded 2006 and we currently have over 30 members

Membership is open to all u3a members. Currently there is no meeting fee, but you will need to bring your own tea/coffee.

Our Meetings

Meetings usually starts with a presentation or demonstration of a photographic subject chosen by the members. These cover a wide range of topics including the use of software.

After a tea break, we critique images sent in by members on a subject selected by them. This critique is aimed at pointing out both good and poor points about an image and how one could improve it, both in how to take it and using software.

A couple of time a year we have an external speaker and members are encouraged to give their presentations or demonstrations on subjects they are interested in.
