Here are some simple exercises for your wellbeing!
Any ideas from members for future topics?
It will be possible to briefly re-cap our subjects for any new members.
Discussion is encouraged, good jokes are allowed, and please remember to bring a mug for refreshment time. Looking forward to welcoming you all.
From June.
Psychology Happenings.
The group has existed now for over two years, going from strength to strength. We have had 10 new members recently adding to a lively, friendly crowd.
Discussion, questions, and interaction is encouraged, and even some jokes.
Subjects we have covered - Assertiveness, Body Language, life-plans, Zodiacs and Chinese Hororscopes, and using the work of Freud, Jung, Berne etc. particularly Maslow's Hierarchy
of Needs which helps to reach levels of self actualisation.
IN October we had Fiona Hollings to talk on "Autism" - we need greater understanding and information about this subject. 'Brilliant, fascinating, amazing' were some of the comments as Fiona told us her 'Story'. She is very articulate, and is indeed an International speaker.
November's subject was Transactional Analyses which relates to CBT (Councelling Behaviour Therapy) where we have 3 'ego' states of Parent, Adult, Child, and how our reactions vary to each state- left over from Childhood possibly - when faced with challenging situations.
