Our little group meet every third Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm.  The aim of our group is to maintain/improve our fluency in speaking Italian in a relaxed atmosphere sharing stories about Italy during our times there whether on holiday or living there. We also chat informally about a wide range of subjects and help each other with forgotten vocabulary.  We have listened to short news items or stories from RAI Uno which can be challenging at times owing to the speed with which they speak and sometimes their regional accents!  We have been to Nordern Farm to watch an Italian film and intend to go again when one is available.

This is a group for people who can make conversation in Italian reasonably fluently. We are a supportive group so if anyone needs help with their vocabulary or grammar whilst speaking we do help each other.

If you are coming for the first time and are not very confident it is always good to look up the vocabulary you will need to be able to talk about whatever you choose – this can be about current affairs, your recent holiday, trips you have made or are about to make etc. Although this is a group where we chat in Italian, we always make sure that everyone has their say.
