As the name of the group suggests we don’t intend to create masterpieces, just small projects in craft. This might be items made from wool, paper, card or even plastic. A different member of the group will lead each session with an idea and suggested materials. Above all it will be a chance to chat as we create.

Update after our inaugural meeting
We were a group of 5 at our first meeting in November 2025 and armed with red wool and Knitting needles we made a start on making a jolly Santa who likes to sit on his hands! Lots of chat and ideas of other projects we hope to tackle in the future.
Projects
February 2026
We tackled Iris Folding at our meeting. We folded strips of paper and followed the charts to attach them to the back of the piece with tape, hoping that the 'reveal' was successful. We all started with a triangle and progressed to the robin and also a butterfly.
March 2026
Our painting and collage birds.
May 2026
We used scraps of fabric we had and cut out pentagons. !2 pentagons made a ball and inside we put small bells and stuffing. Know any babies who would like one?
June 2026
The group finished sewing and stuffing the Patchwork balls started at the May gathering. Small bells were inserted before sewing up the hole. Next month Stained glass designs.
July 2026
'Stained Glass'
Penny bought us Stained glass window kits. We punched out pre-cut shapes and used coloured cellophane to fill the holes. This was stuck on using PVA glue and then we tied a ribbon so the finished article could be hung up. Our windows are now decorated with the sun shining through the coloured film
